Over the past 20 years IML has provided machining and design services to many industries: Aerospace, medical (dental and orthopedic), alternative fuels, instrumentation and photonics to name a few. Providing services to this diverse group of industries has enabled IML to collect a vast array of experience in machining some of the most difficult materials: Super Alloys (kovar, invar, inconel), Stainless steels (316,420, 440C, 13-8MO, 431,17-4PH), Titanium (Grade 2, Ti6Al4V) and Nitinol.

The tolerances that need to be held are very tight indeed – some as tight as 5 microns total tolerance in titanium and surface finishes as low as 0.15µm. IML not only has the expertise to machine parts with these tight tolerances, but also has the ability to check them to the accuracy specified by its customers.
